Air India Will Operate Flights From 32 Countries In Phase 2 Of Vande Bharat Mission

Mumbai: Air India and its subsidiary Air India Express will operate flights from 32 countries to bring back stranded Indian nationals across the globe under the ‘Vande Bharat’ air repatriation operation.

“#FlyAI: Phase II of the flights operated by Air India and Air India Express for return of stranded Indians from 32 countries will start from 16th May 2020,” the tweet said.

In phase 1 of the Vande Bharat mission, both the airlines operated flights from 12 countries to fly the citizens back home.

Air India has will also commence travel to 32 countries from India by 16 May 2020. Reservations to select destinations in the USA, UK, Australia, Frankfurt and Canada will commence from 14th May 2020.

Under Vande Bharat air repatriation mission, 15000 stranded Indian nationals across the world are to be brought back. In the first phase, over 10000 Indian citizens from 12 countries have returned to India.
