Airlines In Srinagar, Jammu Closed For Civilians

Mumbai: In a wake of Pakistan attack, airports in Srinagar, Jammu and Leh has been closed for civilian air traffic.

“The civilian air traffic has been suspended temporarily in view of the emergency,” an official of the Airport Authority of India told PTI.

Although the official did not specify the nature of the emergency, it is believed that this step was taken in the wake of an IAF jet crash in Badgam district this morning.

Security forces and other establishments have also been placed on alert since the cross-LoC firing started by Pakistani troops in the early hours of Wednesday.
