Harish Rawat claims that Captain Amarinder Singh was never insulted by Congress
Mumbai: All India Congress Committee in charge of Punjab Harish Rawat on Friday has said that whatever party did so far was to protect the respect of Captain along with increasing the party’s chance in 2022 assembly.
“All that has been done by the Congress party till now is to protect the respect and dignity of Captain Amarinder Singh and increase the party’s chances (in 2022 assembly polls) in Punjab” Harish Rawat in Dehradun.
He also claimed that Captain Amarinder Singh was never insulted by Congress and he should not help the opposition party BJP in any way.
“No facts in reports that state Captain Amarinder Singh was insulted by Congress. It appears from Captain’s recent statements that he is under some sort of pressure. He should rethink, and not help BJP directly or indirectly” Rawat added.

Amid the crisis, Punjab CM Charanjit Singh Channi has departed for Delhi from Chandigarh. He will also call PM Modi at 4 pm to talk about the Farmers situation in the state.
