Anil Deshmukh Gets Clean Chit In Money Laundering Case

Mumbai: Chandiwal Commission has given a clean chit to former Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh in a money laundering case.

The one member high-level enquiry commission was chaired by Justice (retired) Kailash Chandiwal to probe corruption allegations levelled by former Mumbai Police Commissioner Param Bir Singh against Deshmukh.

It was initially presented before the Home Department and handed over to the CM today. The commission was set up by the state government to probe allegations of corruption against former Mumbai Police Commissioner PB Singh’s Anil Deshmukh.

A state-appointed high-level inquiry committee headed by Justice (retd) Kailash Chandiwal had on Thursday asked all the parties – Anil Deshmukh, Sachin Waje, Parambir Singh, etc. – to file their final arguments in a written format.

The panel was probing the Rs 100 crore corruption allegations levelled against former state home minister Deshmukh by former top cop Singh.
