Another PMC Bank Customer Dies Of Cardiac Arrest

Mumbai: Another customer of PMC Bank died on Tuesday. Fattomal Punjabi, a 59-year-old customer, died of a heart attack at 12:30 pm. He was a resident of Mulund.

About 95 per cent of the people living in Mulund Colony have accounts with PMC Bank.

Earlier in the day, a 51-year-old account holder in the beleaguered bank, died of a cardiac arrest while returning home after attending a protest rally against the PMC Bank scam in Mumbai.

Sanjay Gulati, a resident of Taporewala Gardens in Oshiwara, Mumbai, was an account holder in the disgraced PMC bank. He had deposits of Rs 90 lakh in the Oshiwara branch of PMC Bank.

PMC Bank was placed under regulatory sanctions by the Reserve Bank of India after a massive scam surfaced in the bank. The scam involving senior bank officials conspired for grand loans that were above it.
