APP Has Forgotten Anna Hazare: Prakash Javedekar

Mumbai: Taking a dig on Aam Aadmi Led By Arvind Kejriwal, BJP leader and Union Minister Prakash Javadekar said that the party has forgotten anti-corruption crusader Anna Hazare and has deviated from its ideology.

Speaking at a press conference here, Javadekar said, “Anna Hazare was betrayed by Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. They (AAP) forgot Hazare after gaining power. In the last five years, AAP has in a way Have done what you think you had. What happened to the party. The party broke away from Hazare’s values.”

Javadekar also accused the AAP of spreading lies and rumours about CAA. “The Chief Minister of Delhi recently said because of CAA, crores of Hindus, Muslims and people of other religions have to leave the country. I say at least CAA should read before commenting on it. The law does not take citizenship, It gives citizenship. People who are suffering from religious persecution in Afghanistan, Bangladesh and Pakistan.”

The Union Minister said, “Those who face religious persecution in Pakistan, came to India and failed to get Indian citizenship for two decades because the law is not the law to give them citizenship. Now people understand this.” In the presence of senior party leader and Rajya Sabha MP Vijay Goel.

Praising the BJP government at the Centre, the Union Minister said, “Article 370 was abrogated from Jammu and Kashmir, and it helped in drastically reducing terror activities there. People of J-K want development, stability and peace. The removal of Article 370 helped in that.”
