Appreciate Sonu Sood’s Work Rather Criticizing Him, Rajnath Singh Slams Maha Govt

Mumbai: Defense Minister Rajnath Singh on Monday took a dig at Shiv Sena-led Maharashtra government for criticising Sonu Sood for his work for stranded migrant workers and questioned the state government’s criticism of the actor.

Singh’s statement comes after on Sunday Sena said that Sood was making a bid for the BJP to show the state government in a bad light.

He said, “Instead of appreciating his work, the government has criticized actor Sonu Sood for his efforts to send migrant workers home. The Maharashtra government should learn from UP and Karnataka how to spread coronavirus.”

Addressing a virtual rally of BJP workers from Maharashtra, Singh said, “It looks like Maharashtra is more of a circus than a government. Seeing the state creep up despite the strong leadership of NCP chief Sharad Pawar is extremely Is unfortunate. ”

“It looks like the situation in Maharashtra is more of a circus than a government. It is highly unfortunate to see state crawling despite having a strong leadership of NCP chief Sharad Pawar,” Singh said.

“The greed for power has prevailed over political alliance and commitments,” Singh said in an oblique reference to the Shiv Sena, which had parted ways with the BJP post assembly elections in 2019.

“I wonder if there is any government present in Maharashtra when I see a coronovirus patient waiting for an ambulance for more than 16 hours,” he said.
