Around 28 New COVID19 Positive Cases Reported In Mizoram

Mumbai: A health department official said that the COVID-19 tally of Mizoram increased to 1,534 on Friday, killing 28 more people, including 24 security personnel.

Twenty-seven new patients have a travel history, while infection was found during contact infection, he said.

Nineteen cases were reported in Aizawl district, six in Lunglei, two in Serchhip, and one in Kolasib, the official said.

Eighteen Assam Rifles personnel and six BSF jawans are among the new patients, he said.

There are now 585 active coronavirus cases in Mizoram, while 949 people have so far recovered from the disease.

The official said that by Thursday, the state has tested 57,076 samples for COVID-19.

Meanwhile, total coronavirus cases rose to 52,14,677 in India while the number of deaths from the virus claimed 1,174 lives in 24 hours to 84,372, shown at 8 am.
