Arrest Warrant Issued Against Ameesha Patel in ₹3 cr Cheque Bounce Case

Mumbai: Bollywood actress Ameesha Patel finds herself in trouble as Ranchi court has issued an arrest warrant in a cheating and cheque bounce case, police said on Saturday.

Ranchi police will go to Mumbai to execute the warrant issued on Ajay Kumar Singh’s complaint.

“Ameesha Patel and her business partner Kunal had taken Rs 2.50 crore to make a film. They had assured to return the money after the film’s release in 2018. The film was never released in 2018. When we asked Ameesha Patel for money she gave a check of Rs 3 crore, which bounced, “said Ajay Singh in a press statement on Saturday.

“Ameesha and her friend Kunal started ignoring my calls. The actress did not respond to the legal notice given by me. I filed a complaint in Ranchi district court last year. Now, the Ranchi court has issued a warrant against her. Has released,” The statement said.

Ameesha is also facing a fraud case, accusing her of not attending an event in Ranchi after taking money. In February this year, a complaint was filed by the event company with the police.

In 2018, she played a movie star in the ensemble action comedy Bhaiaji Superhit alongside Sunny Deol, production in the making since 2012. The film was poorly received by critics
