At Least 80 People Died Due To Cyclone, Confirms Mamata Banerjee

Mumbai: West Bengal Chief Minister, Mamata Banerjee has confirmed at least 80 deaths battling the Super cyclone Aman.

The cyclone had made a Landfall on West Bengal on Wednesday causing significant destruction in the state. The strong winds and heavy rainfall has submerged houses, uprooted trees and claimed electricity poles in the city of Kolkata especially.

CM Mamata Banerjee has announced Rs.1,000 crore for the restoration of damage caused by the cyclone.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has decided to look into the matter by himself taking the aerial view of the cyclone hit regions following which he will address a review meet with CM Mamata Banerjee to figure out relief and rehabilitation measures.
