Australia Beat India Clinch The Five Match ODI Series By 3-2

Mumbai: The Aussies continue their victory cycle from the third ODI till the fifth one that was being played in Delhi. Australia chose to bat first at a pitch that was beneficial for the bowlers and was quite slow for the batsmen.

Australian batsmen set up a score of 272 for 9 wickets. Usman Khawaja scoring his second ODI century of 100 of his 106 balls with Handscomb scoring a well defined 52 runs knock.

Indian ballers – Bhuvneshwar Kumar took 3 wickets in his 10 overs spell, Jadeja and Shami taking 2-2 each and were economical.

Indian batsmen once again failed to score partnerships at intervals whenever required. Poor shot selections was the main issue looked into today’s Indian batsmen. Rohit Sharma got his half century (56) and gave up his wicket in a very poor shot selection. India lost its control as it lost its 6 wickets in the first 30 overs.

Once in a while there was a partnership between Kedar Jadhav and Bhuvneshwar Kumar of 91 runs which brought the fans into hopes for the victory once again after the six wickets fall at just the run of 132, but Cummins as usual broke the partnership by taking the wicket of Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Jadhav falling at the very next ball of the next over.

Australian bowlers Pat Cummins once again taking wickets – 2 wickets for his 10 overs at just 3.80 runs per over. Adam Zampa contributing with his 3 wickets in his 10 overs brought the middle over into trouble.

Further India would be looking up for their mistakes and work on the middle order to take up on the desired squad to the World Cup.
