One of Pakistan’s batsmen who looked good in overall series, Shan Masood took on the Australian bowler as he hit some good boundaries but you sense there was something in the pitch for Nathan Lyon as his ball was turning and bouncing. Shan Masood on 71 gave a soft catch to Josh Hazlewood on Mid off. Asad Shafiq had a good partnership with Masood and completed his fifty but couldn’t survive the Lyon’s turn and bounce and got an inside edge and he was caught at leg slip, he was dismissed for 57. Marnus Labuschagne who had a terrible match in fielding purpose, at last, got hold of Iftikhar’s catch. First Innings centurion Yasir Shah couldn’t survive Nathan Lyon as was caught in front of the stumps LBW by Lyon. Just before the dinner break Nathan Lyon got his 5th scalp as Shaheen looked to go over the top was caught on mid-off.

Mohammad Rizwan who got some heavy blows from Cummins in the first session was dismissed by Hazlewood on the first ball with the second new ball. On the last ball of the over Abbas was run out by Cummins and that completed the whit-wash over Pakistan.

David Warner made 489 runs in just 2 innings of 2 test matches in this series and has come back in form after a disastrous Ashes. He was a man of the match and man of the series. And he is looking forward to playing against “quality opposition” i.e New Zealand.
