Ayodhya Land Dispute Case: SC Sets Deadline Of October 18 To Complete Arguments

Mumbai: A report states that the Supreme Court has noted that it is up to the parties to settle the Ram-Janmabhoomi Babri Masjid land dispute case through arbitration.

A five-judge constitution bench headed by Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi said it had received a letter from former Supreme Court judge FMI Kalifulla, who was heading a three-member arbitration panel, saying some parties had mediated Wrote them to resume the process.

The bench said that the day-to-day proceedings in the land dispute case have reached “an advanced stage” and will continue further.

The court, however, said that the arbitration process under the chairmanship of Justice Kalifullah could still continue and the proceedings would remain confidential before the proceedings.

A local court in Uttar Pradesh has ordered the registration of an FIR against Iqbal Ansari, who is on trial for hooliganism against Hindus at Ram Janmabhoomi police station. The order was issued when the court was hearing a petition filed by international shooter Vartika Singh.

In a complaint filed in court, Vartika Singh claimed that Iqbal Ansari used abusive language against Hindus. Her petition was filed in the court under Section 156/3 of CrPC. According to news agency IANS, the court read the order: “The application filed under Section 156 (3) of the CrPC is accepted. The SHO of Ram Janmabhoomi police station has been ordered to register an FIR and report to the court within three days.”

Talking to reporters, Singh claimed that he received death threats from some people when he went to Ansari’s house to discuss the Ayodhya land dispute. “Ansari got up in the middle of our conversation and said that he had shooters from all over the country and threatened to kill me,” Singh told IANS.

Ansari reportedly told Singh that the law did not have the power to build a Ram temple. He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and the entire Hindu community are afraid of him, Singh said quoting a report.

It should be noted that Vartika Singh also allegedly threatened to kill Ansari on 3 September. After threatening to kill him for being an obstructionist in the case, Ansari filed a complaint
