Ayodhya Verdict: School And Colleges Shut In Various State, Section 144 Imposed

Mumbai: It might be the biggest day for the whole nation here as the Supreme Court will deliver its verdict over Ayodhya dispute.

Meanwhile, Schools, colleges and other educational institutes will remain closed in Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Karnataka and Delhi to maintain the peace in the country.

As a precaution, the government has closed all schools, colleges, educational institutions in Uttar Pradesh from Saturday to Monday.

Schools and colleges in Karnataka, Jammu, Uttar Pradesh, and Madhya Pradesh are also closed today. All government schools and many private schools are closed in Delhi too, as it is the second Saturday and the government has advised all private schools to remain closed today.

Section 144 of the CrPC, which prohibits the gathering of more than four people, has been closed all over Goa, Uttar Pradesh, and Jammu and Kashmir.

Restrictive orders will apply in Bhopal and Bengaluru, the capital of Madhya Pradesh. Commissioner of Police Bhaskar Rao said, “Section 144 CrPC has been imposed in Bengaluru from 7 am to 12 am.”

Security has been increased across the country in view of any untoward incident after the Supreme Court gave its historic verdict in the politically sensitive Ramjanmabhoomi-Babri Masjid land dispute case.
