Babar Azam Moves Up Two Places In Test rankings, Kohli Retains Top spot

Mumbai: In a recently issued Test ranking by International Cricket Council (ICC) Pakistan batsman Babar Azam has gained two spots.

Azam rosed second places and finished fifth in the unilateral Test against Bangladesh, scoring 143, which Pakistan won in Rawalpindi by an innings and 44 runs.

The first four places remained as Virat Kohli, Steve Smith, Maranus Labuschagne and Kane Williamson retained their top four spots.

Ajinkya Rahane is the third Indian in the top-ten. He is ranked ninth. England’s Joe Root and Ben Stokes rank eighth and tenth respectively.

In the top-ten, David Warner and Cheteshwar Pujara slipped one place to sixth and seventh respectively after falling one place.

These rankings have been released after the conclusion of the Test between Pakistan and Bangladesh. After losing the three-match ODI series 3–0 against New Zealand, India will take on the Kiwi team in two Tests starting on 21 February.
