‘Bala’ Unstoppable At Box-Office As The Film Set To Cross 50Cr Soon

Mumbai: Bala is doing extremely well at theatres as is suggested by the collection of the first three days. The film is set to cross the Rs 50-crore mark on Day 4.

Ayushmann Khurana is on roll on these days, with success of Dream Girl, the actor proved he is not only the content king but the king of the box office as well.

The film is being touted as an ace entertainer by critics. “It delivers a pertinent message via a top-notch blend of comedy, emotions & dialogues,” said film trade analyst Sumit Kadel.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh said Bala is rocking at the office. “(The film) packs a fantastic total in its opening weekend… Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities – which were decent/good – join the party on Day 3… Mon biz crucial (as it) will give an idea of its lifetime biz,” he added.

Bala is based on the film of the young man who is suffering from premature balding. The film also talks about the feelings of people with a dark complexion. The makers try to contest the idea of beauty set by society.

The film is directed by Amar Kaushik, who has earlier given a classic film like Stree, Bala is a social-comedy set in the tier 2 cities of Kanpur and Lucknow. Released on November 8, the film had earned Rs 43.95 crore in the first three days of hitting the screens.

Apart from Ayushmann Khurrana, the film also stars Bhumi Pednekar and Yami Gautam’s prominent roles. The film is expected to earn Rs 10 crore on Day 4 i.e. Monday.
