Beijing Minister States The Tensions Over LAC Is ‘Stable And Controllable’
Mumbai: China’s Foreign Ministry Spokesman, Zhao Lijian on Monday said that the overall situation along the border is stable and controllable.
Commenting on the standoff, Zho said “diplomatic and military communication channels between China and India on the border issue are open. We believe that the two sides can properly resolve the issue through dialogue and consultations.”
The statement comes after Indian Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said that it would not let India’s pride be hurt and the problem has to be resolved on diplomatic levels.
“China has been implementing the consensus between the two countries’ leaders. We have been committed to upholding our national sovereignty, security as well as stability along the border”, said China’s Minister.
There have been frequent violent face-offs between India and China’s personnel since May 5th. Both sides have consciously increased the number of troops on their respective sides.
