Bhartiya Janata Party Accuses AAP Of Trying To Favour Those Who Want To Break India

Mumbai: BJP Chastised the AAP for denying permission to prosecute the students of Jawaharlal Nehru in the 2016 sedation case. The BJP accused that this action of AAP has proved that they are trying to favour those who want to break India.

BJP leader and New Delhi MP, Meenakshi Lekhi said on Monday that the students were raising anti-India slogans, “They were raising slogans against the hanging of Afzal Guru, against India. Only terrorists can talk in such language. The Kejriwal government should make clear if it is standing with those who want to break India.”

Her comment came when Arvind Kejriwal asserted that the AAP government was yet to decide whether to grant the prosecution sanction in 2016 JNU sedition case. Lekhi further questioned if the AAP government had an understanding with those who raised the controversial slogans in the JNU campus in 2016.

“The Kejriwal government is causing interruptions in the judiciary’s work… The JNU incident was a fit case to slap sedition charges,” she added.

Earlier, the Delhi BJP Chief Manoj Tiwari had alleged that the AAP’s delay in sanctioning the prosecution of the JNU students indicates that they believe the anti-India slogans raised by students were patriotic acts.

On the other side, the AAP party accused, “The BJP is not getting real issues to target the Delhi government and that is the reason the party is indulging in dirty politics.”
