BJP Appoints Devendra Fadnavis As In-Charge Of Goa Election

Mumbai: Ahead of next year’s Goa Assembly elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Wednesday appointed former Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis as the state’s election in-charge, a party statement confirmed.

Besides this, Union Minister G Kishan Reddy and MP Darshan Jardosh have been appointed as co-in-charges for the assembly elections in the state. Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has been appointed as the election in-charge of Uttar Pradesh, while Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi has been appointed in-charge of Uttarakhand.

For the assembly elections to be held in Punjab, Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat has been made the election in-charge of the state, while Union Ministers Hardeep Singh Puri and Meenakshi Lekhi have been made co-in-charge.

Union Minister Bhupendra Yadav has been given the charge of the upcoming assembly elections in Manipur. Meanwhile, Union Minister Pratima Bhowmik and Assam Minister Ashok Singhal have been appointed as co-incharges. Assembly elections are due in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Goa, Manipur and Punjab next year.
