TMC MP Shantanu Sen had on Thursday snatched a copy of Vaishnav’s statement while he was delivering his speech in Rajya Sabha regarding the Pegasus project matter. Sen started tearing him to pieces.

Earlier today, Rajya Sabha Chairman M Venkaiah Naidu suspended TMC MP Shantanu Sen for the remaining period of the ongoing monsoon session.

PTI quoted Naidu as saying, “I am deeply distressed by the course of events in House. Unfortunately, proceedings of the House hit a new low with papers being snatched from the Minister and torn into pieces. Such actions are a clear assault on our Parliamentary democracy.”
