Mumbai: Following the boycott of Chinese products after the Indo-China face-off in eastern Ladakh, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday targeted the government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi claiming that imports from China have increased under the NDA regime.
“Facts don’t lie. BJP says: Make in India. BJP does: Buy from China,” Gandhi tweeted with a graphic of the percentage of imports from China during the UPA regime and the NDA government.

Graphic claims that China’s imports from office were at 12–13 percent by the Congress-led UPA government in 2014, but now increased to 17–18 percent in 2020.
Indian intervention showed that the Chinese side suffered 43 casualties in the face-to-face fighting, including dead and seriously injured.
