BJP Using Delhi Police, Give Strict Punishment If He Has AAP Links: Kejriwal On Shaheen Bagh Shooter

Mumbai: Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal reprimanded the Bharatiya Janata Party over the ongoing protest in Sahin Bagh, and said that the BJP was using the Delhi Police against its party, a day after cops said that the Shaheen Bagh shooter has links with the AAP, and called for strict punishment to the accused.

“The BJP has nothing left. They have nothing to counter the activists carried out by the AAP government in Delhi. All the parties together to beat Kejriwal. “Kapil’s family has said that he has nothing to do with the AAP. Anyone can click their pictures with anyone. I say they should get strict punishment if they have any connection with the AAP. His remarks came after the Delhi Police Crime Branch revealed that Kapil Gurjar was associated with the AAP, based on photographs recovered from his phone in which he and his father were seen with prominent party leaders.

The photographs recovered from Kapil’s phone show him and his father Gaje Singh with AAP leaders such as Atishi and Sanjay Singh and are reportedly from the day 2019 when the father-son duo joined the AAP.
According to the official, Kapil had told the crime branch that he had brought a pistol to celebrate during his brother’s wedding nearly seven years ago.

On Tuesday, Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Gurmohan Kaur sent Kapil, a resident of Dallupura village near the Delhi-Noida border, to two days of police custody.

After the shooting incident, Kapil was detained by the police on Saturday and an FIR was lodged against him. He set fire to air on 1 February in Shaheen Bagh, where opposition to the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) has been going on for 50 days.
