BJP Using Money, Muscle Power To Form Govt In MP, Says Nawab Malik

Mumbai: Maharashtra cabinet minister and Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader slammed BJP and said that they are trying to come to power in Madhya Pradesh by using ‘money’ and ‘muscle’ power.

Talking to ANI Malik said, “In Madhya Pradesh, the BJP wants to come to power through the back door by offering money and muscle power. They are adopting all the wrong ways to capture power in Madhya Pradesh, but the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Kamal Nath has said that he is having a majority. It will be decided on the floor of the house.”

“The Assembly is always run by the rules. The way Governor is dictating is not fair,” he added.

The Kamal Nath-led government is facing a deep crisis following the resignation of 22 Congress MLAs after former Union minister Jyotiraditya Scindia left the party on Tuesday. A day later, Scindia joined the BJP.

On Saturday, the Speaker had accepted the resignations of six ministers, who are among the 22 rebel MLAs. With this, the strength of the House has come down to 222 and the majority mark is now 112.
