BJP Will Form It’s Next Government In West Bengal: Amit Shah

Mumbai: Expressing his confidence that his party will form the next government in West Bengal, Amit Shah urged people to give the BJP a chance to realize the dream of “Sonar Bangla”.

While addressing the ‘NRC-Jagran Abhiyan’ at Netaji Indoor Stadium here, Shah said that people of the state have expressed their desire to replace 18 BJP candidates by sending them to the Lok Sabha.

Shah said, “The people of West Bengal have expressed a desire for change in the last Lok Sabha elections by giving us 18 seats. The BJP is going to form the government under the leadership of Narendra Modi in West Bengal in the next elections,” Shah said.

Stating that the state had been going downstream since independence in terms of development, he said that dispensing in the state did not do enough to realize the dream of “Sonar Bangla” (Golden Bangla).

He said, “You give communists and Trinamool Congress a chance. Please give me a chance and we will give you ‘Sonar Bangla’.”

Expressing displeasure over the killing of BJP workers in political violence, Shah said: “Even the (Lok Sabha) election results have not ended the atrocities on our workers. More than 30 activists have been killed. I assure that The sacrifice of our workers will pay a dividend. In the next state elections.”

He said that people faced difficulties in celebrating Durga Puja, Saraswati Puja, and Vasant Panchami before the Lok Sabha elections. “You give us 18 seats and now no one can dare to ban Durga Puja, Saraswati Puja, etc,” he said.

Shah also said that the Center will bring Citizenship Amendment Bill (CAB) to grant citizenship to Hindus, Jains, Buddhists, and Christians, who flee persecution in Muslim-majority countries and settle in India, from the state to “every single intruder” to remove.
