BJP Won’t Be Able To Erase Tipu’s Legacy: Owaisi On Renaming Of Tipu Express

Mumbai: AIMIM MP Asaduddin Owaisi on Sunday criticised the BJP government after the Railway Board changed name of the train connecting Bengaluru and Mysuru from Tipu Express to Wodeyar Express.

He took to Twitter and said that BJP will never be able to erase Tipu’s legacy. Owaisi said that the ruler irks the BJP because “he waged 3 wars against its British masters”. “Another train could have been named after Wodeyars. BJP will never be able to erase Tipu’s legacy,” he added.

Earlier on Saturday, All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen President Asaduddin Owaisi said that he feels like Muslims are living in an open jail wherever there is a Bharatiya Janata Party government in the country, as reported by news agency ANI.

Citing instances of violence against the minority community, he also remarked that there is “more respect for street dogs than for Muslims”.

“Wherever there is a BJP govt in the country it feels like Muslims are living in an open jail….There is more respect for the road dog than Muslims,” ANI quoted Owaisi as saying during an event.

In the video, he can be heard examining Top state leader Narendra Modi regarding the treatment of Muslims in his home state Gujarat.

The Rail route Board renamed Tipu Express, which interfaces Mysuru with Bengaluru, as Wodeyar Express on Friday.

AIMIM chief likewise responded to RSS boss Mohan Bhagwat’s explanation that there’s a strict lopsidedness in India. “Try not to worry, the Muslim populace isn’t expanding, it’s fairly falling… Who’s utilizing condoms the most? We are. Mohan Bhagwat will not talk on this,” ANI cited Owaisi as saying.
