BJP’s Former Ally SBSP Forms Alliance With SP Ahead Of UP Assembly Polls

The Om Prakash Rajbhar-led Bhagidari Sankalp Morcha had announced a big rally in Mau on October 27 and invited Akhilesh Yadav

Mumbai: Ahead of the 2022 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, on Wednesday Akhilesh Yadav-led Samajwadi Party and Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party have announced an alliance to fight together against BJP.

The National President of Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party OP Rajbhar had announced Bhagidari Sankalp Morcha a big rally in Mau on October 27 and he has invited Akhilesh Yadav to join him.

“Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party and Samajwadi Party have come together to remove Bharatiya Janata Party from power in UP. I have invited Akhilesh Yadav for a mahapanchayat on 27th October at Mau,” OP Rajbhar said.

In a tweet after the meeting the SP chief, Om Prakash Rajbhar wrote, “This time, the BJP will be wiped out. Samajwadi Party and Suheldev Bhartiya Samaj Party have come together. The days of the BJP government, which betrayed all sections along with Dalits, backward minorities, are numbered. Had a courtesy meeting with the former CM and SP chief Akhilesh Yadav today.”

Earlier, SP chief Akhilesh Yadav had said that his parties did not have a great experience when forming alliances with big parties. And now they will try to bring small parties into the alliance to defeat BJP.

The seat-sharing between the two parties have not been finalised yet.

Up goes to elections in February next year along with other states like Punjab, Uttarakhand, Goa, and Mizoram.
