B’luru Man Stabs 20-Yr-Old Wife To Death Over Suspicion She Had An Affair

Bengaluru: A 25-year-old Bengaluru man allegedly stabbed his wife to death over suspicion of her having an affair, Mirror Now reported.

The victim has been identified as 20-year-old Baby Ayesha

The incident took place at Chandra Layout where the accused, identified as Syed Shakir, committed the crime and fled the spot on Monday.

Police said that Sayed Shakir, who was married to Baby Ayesha for six years, would often beat her up when he saw her talking to men in the neighbourhood.

Shakir was arrested on Tuesday. The accused was married to Ayesha six years back. The couple had two children and were living near Ayesha’s parents’ house. The couple’s children were with their grandparents at the time of the murder.

Police said the accused was an alcoholic and had stopped going to work. Shakir was dependent on his in-laws for money.

According to the police, the accused was suspicious of his wife’s character and frequently assaulted Ayesha after seeing her talking to men in the neighbourhood. Police said they had argued before stabbing Ayesha.
