BMC Prepares Plan For COVID-19 Vaccine Administration, Storage
Mumbai: The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has prepared a plan for the administration, distribution, and storage of the COVID-19 vaccine in Mumbai.
BMC has initially targeted to train its staff for vaccination by 7 January and about eight BMC hospitals have started preparations for it. “So far 80,000 health workers have registered on the COVID portal in Mumbai,” BMC said on Monday.

To counter the COVID-19 surge, the Maharashtra government has imposed a nighttime curfew from December 22, 2020, to January 5, 2021, between 11 am and 6 am in all municipal corporations in the state.
According to the Union Health Ministry, Maharashtra, which is among the most affected states in the country, has 60,593 active COVID-19 cases, including 3,247 cases.

As many as 1,789,95,8 people have been cured/discharged/ migrated so far including 6,053 cases. The death toll reached 48,801.
