Bollywood Filmmaker Nishikant Kamat Passed Away, Aged 50

Mumbai: Hard times continue for Bollywood as filmmaker Nishikant Kamat passed away today at City hospital in Hyderabad. He was 50.

Kamat was diagnosed with Chronic Liver Disease and other secondary infections.

Confirming the news, actor Riteish Deshmukh tweeted saying, “I will miss you, my friend. #NishikantKamat Rest In Peace.”

Nishikant Kamat was known in Bollywood for directing films like Ajay Devgan and Tabu starrer films ‘Drishyam’ and Irrfan Khan’s ‘Madari’.

He has also worked in two films ‘Force’ and ‘Rocky Handsome’ with John Abraham.

Nishikant Kamat was also a very popular director of Marathi films. He had called the shots for hits like Riteish Deshmukh starrer ‘Lai Bhaari’ as well as Swwapnil Joshi’s ‘Fugay’.
