Bollywood Seems To “Boycott” Kangana’s Work And The Actress Has A Ruthless Answer To It
Pune: 12 years ago, Kangana Ranaut, who entered Bollywood, has made her place in Bollywood, which is not just about everyone’s cup of tea. Kangana Runaut had always been ‘straight forward’ and ‘bold’ in her statements and never needed anybody to move forward.
In the year 2019, Kangana established the new milestone through ‘Manikarnika’. She has also debuted in the direction through this film. However, this debut is in dispute since the film release. So far, no one from Bollywood has supported Kangana on this controversy nor did anyone congratulate her for the great work in ‘Manikarnika’. Recently, Kangana was even questioned regarding this.
Kangana while talking to Pinkvilla exposed the double standards carried by Bollywood and done it’s celebrities, “These girls send me their trailers like Alia (Bhatt) sent me the trailer of Raazi and said, ‘Please watch it’. For me, it was not a Karan Johar film or Alia’s film, for me, it was a film on Sehmat Khan, the girl who has given her everything to the country. But when it’s my turn there was no response from anyone.”
Talking about Kangana, she’s herself many times spotted openly supporting her co-actors. Listening from her, “In 2014, I don’t think all the accolades were for me, it was for Phantom who was coming up and there were having screenings after screenings for people of Vikas and Anurag Kashyap. They had a lot of friends, so they used to come. I have always been absolutely ignored. After Tanu Weds Manu also I have had so many trials, they would just not come. But when it comes to them, they call me shamelessly, I even sort of cancel my shoots and make sure I attend them. Now, I have stopped because it’s getting too much”.
When Kangana was asked whether she has asked anyone to watch her film, just like all other stars in the industry do, Kangana told News 18, “I have approached them, but I was surprised to know that no one has time to watch it.” She said, “Manikarnika is such a movie, which is for everyone. I feel like this is a racket, don’t know what are these people afraid of. I don’t feel so threatened by anyone around. You know like you see I will praise Alia or I would praise Anushka or I would praise everyone. I never shied away from going to Deepika’s Piku trial. Everyone I have praised in my capacity. Sonakshi’s Lootera I saw and the whole year I praised her. I don’t get threatened.”
Kangana Ranaut believes that nepotism has harmed the industry far enough. They say that they are congratulating, always praising good films like Stree and Uri.
Kangana Ranaut’s movie has earned Worldwide over 100 crores in 10 days. Kangana is not only an actress but also a director in the film.
