Bomb Scare At Taj Mahal, Tourists Evacuated

Mumbai: Tourists have been evacuated from the Taj Mahal in Agra after the police received a phone call from an unknown person saying that a bomb has been placed inside the monument.

The call was reportedly made from UP’s Firozabad. Shops were closed outside the premises by the authorities and a bomb squad is searching the site.

Following a phone call to UP Police emergency number 112, security agencies taunted and once began a search operation inside the Taj Mahal.

As per Times Now report a caller called UP police emergency number 112 and told that some type of explosives have been placed inside the Mughal-era memorial, which can fly at any time. The UP Police and CISF deployed for the security of the Taj Mahal pulled out all the tourists together and conducted a search operation. Police believe that the threat of explosives could be some kind of mischief.

Agra SP (Protocol) Shiv Ram Yadav confirmed that the police received information from the control room that a man called and said there were discrepancies in the military recruitment and he was not recruited.

The police officer further said that the caller claimed that a bomb had been placed on the Taj Mahal which would explode soon.

Yadav said that security checks are being conducted around the Taj Mahal to prevent any bomb threat.

The police officer claimed that the caller’s location was traced to Firozabad and further investigation is underway.
