Mumbai: The budget session of Parliament began on Friday (today) before Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that this is the first session of the decade and presents a golden opportunity for Indians to fulfil the dreams of our freedom fighters.
“This decade is important for India’s bright future,” the PM said in the Parliament complex. The Prime Minister hoped that this would be discussed in the budget session.
He said that Parliament should have a place to express all kinds of views and hoped that “we will meet the expectation of the people by following all parliamentary norms”
The PM has also noted the beginning of the budget session last year, the first time the Finance Minister had to present several ‘mini budgets’ to announce financial packages amid the coronavirus pandemic.
“This budget should also be seen in that series,” the PM said, indicating that financial packages may be on the cards to fix the Indian economy.
This is the budget session. For the first time in India’s history, in a way, the Finance Minister had to present 4-5 mini budgets in the form of various packages in 2020. So this Budget will be seen as a part of those 4-5 mini budgets, I believe this, said PM Modi at the Parliament.

This decade should be fully utilized. Keeping this in mind, this session should discuss the issue of what happens in this decade. This is expected by the nation. I believe that we will not lag behind in making our contribution to the fulfilment of people’s aspiration, said PM Modi.
