Mumbai: The Center has accepted the Bihar government’s request to recommend a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe into Sushant Singh Rajput’s death, the Supreme Court was informed on Wednesday.
Appealing to the Supreme Court, Solicitor General Tushar Mehta said that the Center has put forward its case for a CBI probe into the case.
The apex court is hearing Riya Chakraborty’s plea seeking transfer of the investigation in the case registered against him from Patna to Mumbai.
The apex court said, “Truth should come to the fore as the actor’s death is concerned.”

The Bihar government yesterday recommended a CBI probe into the alleged suicide of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput.
Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead at his Bandra residence in Mumbai on June 14, leaving the entire country shocked.
