Centre Has Diverted Attention From Lakhimpur Incident: Kapil Sibal On Aryan Khan’s Drug Case

Mumbai: Congress leader Kapil Sibal slammed the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) over the Aryan Khan drug case alleging that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led BJP government has diverted the attention of the masses from the Lakhimpur incident.

“Aryan Khan, Narcotics Control Bureau investigation. New Jurisprudence: No evidence of consumption, possession, Guilty till proven innocent Attention successfully diverted from Ashish Mishra (Lakhimpur Kheri),” Sibal tweeted.

Aryan Khan, the son of Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan, was arrested by the NCB on October 3 from a cruise ship off the Mumbai coast.

On Thursday, a special court had rejected the bail pleas of Aryan Khan and others. He will be in jail for at least six more days. The next hearing for his plea is on October 20.

An NCB team raided the Goa-bound Cordelia cruise after they received a tip of a rave party on the cruise on October 2.

Several persons including Aryan Khan, Arbaaz Merchant and Munmun Dhamecha were arrested during the raid and drugs were seized.
