Centre Should Take Over All Oxygen Plants Through Army: Kejriwal To PM Modi

Mumbai: Facing a serious crisis of saving lives with Delhi’s top hospitals, reporting a massive shortage of oxygen, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal challenged him in a meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday.

“There is a huge shortage of oxygen in Delhi. Will people of Delhi do not get oxygen if there is no oxygen-producing plant here?” Kejriwal said, reported news agency ANI.

Raising the issue of problems faced during transportation of oxygen tankers, Kejriwal said, “Please suggest whom should I speak to in Central Govt when an oxygen tanker destined for Delhi is stopped in another state.”

“Centre should take overall oxygen plants through Army, every truck should be accompanied by Army escort vehicle.”

He added, “I request with folded hands that PM gives direction to CMs to ensure smooth movement of oxygen tankers coming to Delhi.”
