Centre To Take Strict Action Against The Elephant Killing, Says Prakash Javadekar

Mumbai: The Environment  Minister, Prakash Javadekar on Thursday said that the central government will not spare the elephant killers in Kerala.

“The Central Government has taken a very serious note of the killing of an elephant in Kerala. We will not leave any stone unturned to investigate properly and nab the culprit(s). This is not an Indian culture to feed firecrackers and kill”, he said.

His statement comes after several netizens and Twitterati mourned the death of the pregnant elephant and criticized humanity.

A pregnant Elephant died standing in a river in the Palakkad district of Kerala. The elephant fed on pineapple stuffed with crackers, that was allegedly placed by the locals as per the reports.
