Centre Will Pay Hefty Price For Suppressing Rahul Gandhi’s Voice: CM Baghel

Baghel further said that the Center is allegedly misusing the central agencies against the opposition leaders

Mumbai: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel criticised BJP-led Central government over ED’s probe against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi in the National Herald case. The centre will have to pay a hefty price for attempting to suppress Gandhi’s voice, Baghel said.

Addressing a press conference here, Chief Minister Baghel said, “We cannot bring our employees to the AICC office right now. Office bearers cannot come to the office. We were told that only 2 CMs can come here and no one else has permission. This kind of situation never rose where members of political parties cannot enter the office. Why is this happening?”

“It is because a person has been raising their voice against the wrongdoings of the Center for the last 8 years. That person is Rahul Gandhi. Be it GST, demonetisation, COVID, mismanagement, lockdown, unemployment, inflation or the security of borders, Rahul Gandhi has been raising his voice against every important issue,” said the Congress leader.

Baghel further said that the Center is allegedly misusing the central agencies against the opposition leaders.

“They want to suppress Rahul Gandhi. There is a lack of central agencies against opposition leaders to suppress him. Now they are trying to use this tactic against Rahul Gandhi. Now they are trying to use these tactics against Rahul Gandhi. ‘Unhone Rahul Gandhi ke muh mei haath daalne ki koshish ki hai, unko bahut mehengi padegi’,” he added.

Congress leaders and workers are protesting outside the Congress headquarters regarding the ED investigation against Rahul Gandhi.

Meanwhile, Rahul Gandhi rejoined the ED’s probe for the third consecutive day in an alleged money laundering case involving the National Herald newspaper.

Rahul Gandhi has been questioned for over 20 hours since Monday when he deposed before the ED investigators in the case for the first time.
