Chhatisgarh Congress Government Appoints DM Awasthi As New DGP

Mumbai : The newly elected Congress government in Chhatisgarh recently appointed the new  Director General of Chhatisgarh police, DM Awasthi.

Awasthi, who is Special Director General (SDG) for Naxal operations and State Intelligence Branch (SIB), has been given temporary charge of DGP Chhattisgarh Police along with his current charges.

He will be replacing AN Upadhyay, as per reports now he is appointed as Chairman of Chhatisgarh Police Housing Corporation (CGPHC).
