China Rejectes Proposal Of Declaring Masood Azhar As A Global Terrorist For The Fourth Time

Mumbai: China on Wednesday in United Nation’s Security Council (UNSC), once again rejected India’s proposal of declaring Jaish-e-Muhammad chief Masood Azhar as a global terrorist. This is been the fourth time when China blocks the proposal.

Nevertheless, the superpower permanent countries in UNSC, the US, France and Britain has passed the proposal and pushed it ahead.

Masood Azhar, the man responsible behind the 14th February Pulwama terror attack which footed death of 40 Indian CRPF soldiers. India being disappointed with China on this rejection says it will continue to collect ‘enough available avenues to make sure that the terrorist leaders who are behind such hilarious attacks are brought to justice

More than 10 countries were on the support of India to claim Masood Azhar as a global terrorist. China is a permanent member with the US, France, Britain and Russia of The UN has ‘veto power’ which can reject or postpone any official decision in spite also if other member had passed it.

Sayed Akbaruddin who is permanent representative in UN of India tweeted saying, ’Big, Small & Many, 1 big state holds up, again, 1 small signal @UN against terror Grateful to the many states – big & small – who in unprecedented numbers, joined as co-sponsors of the effort’.

Foreign Secretary Vijay Gokhale had also met US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo in Washington recently for which Pompeo expressed his understanding of India’s tension to the cross border terrorism.

Even Financial Action Task Force (FATF) has noted, ‘Pakistan has not revealed and demonstrated a proper understanding of the terror financing threat foot by Islamic state group, AQ (Al Qaeda), Jud, Jem, FIF, LeT, Haqqani network and persons related to Taliban’.

All the developed super nations are on the side of India but China has been an all-weather friend of Pakistan.
