Chirag Paswan Re-elected As Lok Janshakti (Ram Vilas) Chief

Mumbai: Union Minister Chirag Paswan has been re-elected as the president of the Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) for a five-year term. The decision was made unanimously during the party’s national executive meeting held on Sunday in New Delhi.

Speaking on the re-election, Paswan, who currently serves as the Minister of Food Processing Industries, expressed his gratitude for the continued support of the party members. “The national executive, in its meeting here, has re-elected me for the next five years,” Paswan announced.

The meeting also addressed the upcoming assembly elections in Haryana, Jammu & Kashmir, and Jharkhand. Paswan indicated that the party might consider contesting the polls in Jharkhand either as part of the national alliance with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) or independently.

This re-election solidifies Paswan’s leadership within the party, which he has headed since the demise of his father, Ram Vilas Paswan, a veteran politician and the party’s founding leader. The Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) continues to play a significant role in the political landscape, particularly in Bihar and other parts of North India.

As the party gears up for the upcoming elections, Paswan’s leadership will be crucial in shaping its strategies and alliances in the coming months.
