Citizenship Bill Will Be Focused On Budget Session Of Nagaland

Mumbai: The controversial Citizenship Bill will be kept in mind during the budget session of the Nagaland Assembly which begins on Thursday, in which the state government will prepare to adopt a proposal against the proposed law.

Planning and Coordination Minister Neba Krono said that the government of Nagaland will present a proposal against the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2016 on February 23.

Due to the finance background, Chief Minister Nixie Rio will take advantage of the budget of the 2019-20 fiscal year on February 25 and will focus mainly on the proposal of the Citizenship Act.

Followed on February 26, the Nagaland government has decided to meet some additional demands in comparison to the budget session of 2018-19.
