Clashes Between BJP Workers And Police Took Place At Kolkata

Mumbai: There was a clash between BJP workers and police personnel here on Wednesday during a huge rally organized by the party in protest of the violence that followed the election and the alleged attack on its workers and supporters.

BJP workers asked to reach the city’s bazar crossroads, the police resorted to tear gas shells and cannons to disperse them.

In response, the workers of the saffron party shouted slogans and threw stones and bottles on the officials.

With 18 newly elected MPs of the state including BJP state president Dilip Ghosh, the workers of the saffron party were marching towards the Kolkata Police Headquarters in Lal Bahar in the Wellington area of ​​the city.

Bengal’s BJP minder Kailash Vijayvargiya and senior party leader Mukul Roy also joined the march.

18 out of the 42 Lok Sabha seats of the state, after receiving only fewer than the TMC by the BJP, the violence has been reported from various places in West Bengal after elections.

On Tuesday, Roy blamed Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee for the clashes in North 24 Parganas, which killed three people on Saturday and demanded an inquiry into the violence against the anti-terrorism agency NIA.
