CNG Price Hiked For 2nd Time This Month, Now Costs ₹49.76 Per kg In Delhi

Mumbai: The price of compressed natural gas (CNG) in Delhi-NCR has been hiked for the second time this month. CNG price in Delhi now stands at ₹49.76 per kg after a hike of ₹2.28, with effect from today.

With the latest hike, the price of CNG in the NCT of Delhi will be Rs 49.76 per kg, with effect from 6 am on October 13.

The subsequent hike in prices comes just 11 days after the Center hiked the rate of domestic natural gas by 62 per cent. On October 1, a day after the Centre’s announcement, IGL had reduced the price of CNG to Rs 47.48.

In Noida, Greater Noida and Ghaziabad, the rate has been increased to Rs 56.02 per kg, which is Rs 2.57 more than the current price.

As per the city-wise price list released by IGL, CNG will be charged as follows: Rs 58.20 per kg in Gurugram; 58.90 per kg in Rewari; Rs 57.10 per kg in Karnal and Kaithal; 63.28 per kg in Muzaffarnagar, Meerut and Shamli; Rs 66.54 in Kanpur, Fatehpur and Hamirpur; 65.02 per kg in Ajmer, Pali and Rajsamand.

Along with the prices of CNG, the prices of PNG have also been increased. In Delhi, the rate of PNG has been increased by Rs 2.10 per cubic meter to Rs 35.11 per scm, while the price of piped LPG in Noida, Greater Noida and Ghaziabad will be Rs 34.86 per scm.

The increased prices will be applicable from 6 am on October 13. The last hike in PNG prices was also on October 1.

As per the city-wise price list released by IGL, the charges for PNG will be as follows: Rs 33.31 per SCM in Gurugram; 33.92 per SCM in Rewari and Karnal; 38.37 per SCM in Muzaffarnagar, Meerut and Shamli.
