Combating COVID-19: Delhi Prohibits Gathering Of More Than 5 People At One Place

Mumbai: As a precautionary measure to stop the spread of coronaviruses, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday said that more than five people gathered at any place for the purposes of social, cultural, religious, academics, seminars or conferences in the national capital will not be allowed.

Kejriwal said in a video message, “We are revising the number of people at any place. Now, not more than 5 people will be allowed to gather at any place for social, cultural, religious, academics, seminars, or conference purposes in the national capital.”

He said, “If this gathering is unavailable, keep a distance of one meter from other persons. Earlier this gathering was limited to 20 people.

Chief Minister Kejriwal also announced that only 50 per cent of the total number of DTC buses will be held during the ‘Janata curfew’ tomorrow.

“Since Delhi Metro services will not be available tomorrow, we have decided to ply only 50 per cent of the total DTC buses during the ‘Janata curfew’. There may be many emergency cases, where it becomes necessary to step out. Hence, we have taken this decision.”

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday urged the countrymen to follow the concept of ‘Janata curfew’ from 7 to 9 is on 22 March. He said that no one is ready to move out of their homes other than those involved in essential services.
