Comedian Raju Srivastava Passes Away Aged 58

Mumbai: Comedian Raju Srivastava has passed away in Delhi at the age of 58, his family confirmed.

He was admitted to All India Institute Of Medical Sciences in Delhi on August 10 after suffering a heart attack and collapsing while working out at a gym.

“Comedian Raju Srivastava passes away in Delhi at the age of 58, confirms his family. He was admitted to AIIMS Delhi on August 10 after experiencing chest pain & collapsing while working out at the gym,” news agency ANI reported.

Talking about standup comics’ illustrious career in the entertainment industry, he appeared in several films like Salman Khan’s Maine Pyar Kiya and Shah Rukh Khan’s Baazigar before becoming a household name with his stint in The Great Indian Laughter Challenge.

After the immense success of the show judged by Shekhar Suman and Navjot Singh Sidhu, Raju went on to appear in more films like Bombay to Goa and Aamdani Athani Kharcha Rupaiya.
