Complaint Filed Against PUBG Mobile Game Muslim League Demands Ban On Game, Accuses It Of Hurting Religious Sentiments

Mumbai: Tamilnadu Muslim League (TNML) on Tuesday filed a complaint against the PUBG game with the Commissioner of Chennai, demanding a ban on the game, claiming that it is hurting religious sentiments of Muslims.

The regional political party has said that in the new version of popular mobile game Kaaba is model and it is disturbing the youth and hurting Muslim sentiments.

In a long letter to the commissioner, TNML wrote that the new version of PUBG game is a model of Kaba, which is the holiest place in Islam, which the Muslim community finds humiliating. The party further wrote that this special model is distributing the younger generation and is also influencing the sentiments of the Muslims. They demanded an immediate ban on mobile games on the complaint.

The developers of PUBG’s Tencent Games released an update on the occasion of their one-year anniversary last week. There was a birthday crate in the update, in which there was a lot of other items. Tencent’s updates have affected the Muslims in different areas around the world, which has resulted in many online campaigns demanding a ban on the sport.

Taking cognition of increasing complaints, PUBG developers immediately moderated the birthday crow and released their apologies via the Twitter handle.
