Cong Leaders Surjewala, Venugopal & Others Detained Amid Protest In Delhi

Mumbai: Congress workers and leaders were detained on Tuesday as they held a protest for the second consecutive day in Delhi over Enforcement Directorate questioning party leader Rahul Gandhi in the National Herald money laundering case.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi reached the ED office for the second round of questioning in the National Herald money-laundering case.

Congress leaders like Randeep Surjewala, KC Venugopal, Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, Gaurav Gogoi, Deepender Hooda, Ranjeet Ranjan, Imran Pratapgarhi and others were detained.

Day 1 of questioning saw high political drama and protests in the streets with many top Congress leaders detained on Monday.

Meanwhile, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has slammed the Congress demonstrations for “celebrating corruption” in the form of protests. Several other parts of the country saw similar dramatic scenes and demonstrations.
