Congress Leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra Slams Govt Over State Of Economy

Mumbai: Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Tuesday attacked the government over the state of the economy and said it should now accept that there is a “historic recession” and should move towards resolving it.

“The recession is in front of everyone. How long will the government continue to run with the headline management,” she said.

“Telling a lie a hundred times does not turn it into truth. The BJP government should accept that there is a historic slowdown in the economy and they should move towards taking measures to resolve it,” she said in a tweet in Hindi.

Her attack came after the GDP growth rate fell to 5 per cent at the end of June, the lowest in six years.
