Congress MLA Zeeshan Siddiqui Slams Shiv Sena Grand Vaccination Utsav’, Asks ‘Are Lockdown Rules Only For Common

Mumbai: Maharashtra Congress MLA Zeeshan Siddiqui on Friday slammed its alliance party Shiv Sena corporators for inaugurating the COVID vaccination centres with pomp.

Siddiqui said that if people can follow the restrictions like lockdown and stay in their homes then why the same rule doesn’t apply to Shiv Sena leaders and activists. The Congress MLA accused the Shiv Sena corporators of inaugurating the COVID centres with at least 50-100 supporters.

“Lockdown in Maharashtra, section 144 imposed everywhere but Shiv Sena Corporators & hundreds of party workers can gather for vaccine centre openings. Rules only for the common man and not for Shiv Sena? 1 man getting vaccinated, dozens clicking pics,” Zeeshan Siddique tweeted.

Siddiqui also questioned the use of large posters of the Shiv Sena near COVID vaccination centres. Furthering his point, the Congress leader questioned whether vaccine supplements were being given in the houses of Shiv Sena leaders or the party was providing funds for vaccination from its treasury.

He said when the Maha Vikas Aghadi government is organising the COVID vaccination program, then why only posters of the Sena are being put.

“Welcome to the Grand vaccination Utsav by Shiv Sena in Bandra East. There are more posters than vaccines here. Are vaccines being bought by Shiv Sena personal party fund as I don’t see any mention of MVA anywhere? Stop glorifying openings of vaccination centres, this is our duty!” his another tweet read
