Congress Party To Organize Massive Padyatras On 2nd October
Mumbai: On Thursday news broke out that the Congress party will undertake the celebration of Mahatma Gandhi’s anniversary for a week. They also announced that on 2nd October there will be a massive padayatra for the same occasion.
The national festival of Gandhi Jayanti will be celebrated for a week, that is from 2nd October to 9th October 2019. It is the day when the father of the nation, Gandhiji was born. He pioneered Satyagraha, a mass nonviolent method to ward off Britishers from the country.
On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti the Congress party every year visits the Gandhi Samadhi in Delhi and pays tribute to the great soul and a freedom fighter, whose contributions in the freedom struggle were valuable.
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 2nd October 2014 launched the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.
Various anti-congress netizens commented on how the padayatra would turn into a big flop movement. The route of the yatra is still not made public. Many anti congress netizens commented that the Congress party should start a cleanliness drive instead of the Padayatra.
